Fine Art places 1st in Wales in Guardian league table

The Fine Art: Studio, Site and Context programme at Swansea College of Art has placed first for fine art courses in Wales, and 11th in the whole of the UK in the Guardian’s University Guide 2023. This excellent result for Fine Art is complemented with strong results from sister courses across the faculty, with further 1st place spots for Film & Photography, Textiles, Graphics and Product Design. The college has placed first for art in Wales for the third consecutive year, and 5th overall in the UK.

Fine Art programme manager Professor Sue Williams, says:

“This is excellent news! We pride ourselves with providing our students with a supportive environment. This allows the students to feel they are part of an artistic community and have the freedom and academic support to explore their creative potential. All teaching staff are practitioners and therefore offer students a greater insight into an international art scene.  We are also part of an art community within Swansea which encourages students throughout their course and beyond.”
