Daniel Lewis explores the complexities of his experience with internalised homophobia, and queer life in a heteronormative environment. Through introspection and social commentary, Lewis explores the nuances of the male nude and the imagery adopted by the queer community. He is keen to understand how and when something that isn’t innately sexualised or gendered becomes perceived as “gay”, and challenges those particular ideologies.
