Tara Lea Evans
Tara Evans’ work draws inspiration from a range of sources, for example psychology, feelings and colour theory. Working with painting, ceramics and found media, she combines these sources with her lived experiences to show relations of her feelings and the relations of humans to flowers. Her visual language tends towards expression with bold colours and imagery.
People come and go, Just how flowers wither and flow, No matter through it all, we all still grow.

‘As Fragile As A Flower’ 2026.
Acrylic paint, Modeling paste. Stretched canvas, 100 x 100 cm.
Flowers are a source of fascination for their beauty and fragility, yet easily disposed of when they begin to die. This initial enjoyment and subsequent rejection relates to human beings – the feeling of being precious to someone else; only to be discouraged or discarded.
