Anya May

Anya May creates work across many media including sculpture, performance, photography and video. She draws inspiration from everyday life, childhood memories and toys, to examine themes of identity, nostalgia, the uncanny and the grotesque.

She creates masks from a range of materials and also uses makeup to play with characters and personas. May aims to create an intriguing body of work which evokes eeriness and discomfort in the viewer.
