Welcome to our student art gallery platform. This site is a curated space for students on the Fine Art course to showcase exhibitions, artwork, and profiles. We value your privacy and your creative ownership. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.
1. Who Has Access?
This website is a closed platform for specific university coursework and exhibition purposes.
- No Public Registration: Registration and account creation are not open to the general public.
- Who Can Post: Only authorized students and staff on the Fine Art course are granted accounts to upload and manage content.
2. Information We Collect
Because this is a WordPress-based site, we collect minimal data to keep things running smoothly:
- Account Info: When your account is created, we store your name, email address, and username.
- Profile & Gallery Content: Any bio information, profile pictures, artwork titles, descriptions, and media files you choose to upload.
- Technical Data (Cookies): Like most WordPress sites, we use temporary cookies to keep you logged in and to ensure the site functions properly. We do not use tracking cookies for targeted advertising.
3. Ownership of Your Art & Content
Your creativity belongs to you.
- You Retain Ownership: Students retain full copyright and ownership of all original artwork, text, and images uploaded to their profile or exhibition pages.
- Display License: By uploading your work, you grant the site a perpetual permission to display it publicly as part of the online gallery and university archives.
4. Content Moderation & Control
While we want to champion your creative expression, this is a university-affiliated platform.
- Right to Modify or Remove: We reserve the right to modify, blur, or completely remove any content, images, or profiles if we deem it inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of university policies and copyright laws.
5. Archiving & Data Retention
This website functions as a permanent historical archive of the university Fine Art course’s creative output.
- Forever Accessible: To preserve the history of our exhibitions and student cohorts, your artwork, profiles, and exhibition pages will remain publicly accessible on the site indefinitely.
- Removal Exceptions: While the archive is intended to be permanent, we understand circumstances change. If you need a piece of work or your profile removed in the future for personal or professional reasons, you may submit a request to the site administrator.
6. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your uploaded artwork and public profile descriptions will, however, be visible to anyone visiting the website.
