Daniel Lewis

Daniel Lewis primarily works in painting, drawing and sculpture. His current studio practice revolves around topics including personal psychology, queer life, and living as a colourblind artist.

Currently, his work centres on his experience with colour blindness, employing a palette of reds and greens specific to this, but often expanding his palette to new hues and tones. His constantly evolving exploration of colour is typically through abstract forms, creating a harmony between contrasting colours. He investigates the psychology of colour and how perceptions differ from person to person.

Overall, Lewis uses art as a tool of self-discovery, exploring lived experience to drive forward his own understanding of himself through making.
