Heidi Lucca-Redcliffe
Heidi Lucca-Redcliffe’s practice is a continuous exploration of portraying the self. A significant body of her work considers herself through the colour red. Working with the colour red removes her security and comfort, replacing it with an intense provocation.
Her work embeds vulnerability and rawness through the deconstruction of materials, to reveal the intimacy and sensitivity from within. This enables her to communicate a response through touch, between body and material, with her process incorporating a sense of playfulness.
Lucca-Redcliffe is wrapped in an ongoing cycle of questioning the notion of self-portrait, in a continuous iterative process of exploration, often producing the immersive perspective of the self.
