Nada Najar

Nada witnessed the gradual disappearance of the natural locations in her hometown Damascus- Syria, and later the terrible conflict which desertification was one of the critical reasons for it. Since a child she has an interest in the landscape. As a painter she works in paint, ink, pencil, and stitch. Through painting she seeks beauty, colour, and sensual triggering effects by using bold, bright, and vivid colours and thick brush strokes to reflect the grand physical presence of nature. Her drawings are in pencil or black ink, often depicting intricate detail.
