Naomi Davies

Naomi Davies utilises a range of materials and processes in her work, to explore her preoccupation with feminist themes and practices. Currently she is looking at materials changing across processes, experimenting with knit, clay and latex. She examines the preconceptions these materials hold and evoke, and how these can be subverted.

Davies considers the physical labour and maintenance of creating her work, focusing on how the making, repetitive action and time taken can be a large part of the meaning and significance of each piece.
