Robyn Evans
Over the past three years at UWTSD, Robyn has adapted from consistently creating symmetrical mandalas made with a range of ink pens, dotted shading and editing procedures, and transitioned towards a more personal dialogue centred on the death of her friend Amy Monaghan, who she knew from 14 through university.
With Amy’s work still exhibited in the same studio spaces Robyn practices in, consistent reminders of this bereavement created inspiration for her, allowing her to honour the memory of her beloved best friend. The route of this expression has been a part of Evans’ acceptance process, and honouring the life lost.
