Storeroom Installation

For her graduate project, as part of the ’11.’ exhibition, Stella responded to the storeroom of the gallery venue – an empty property of a busy shopping centre in the middle of Swansea.

Vacant shelves seem redolent of transition, in between spaces of temporary holding. The available light becomes subdued blue, and cling-film wraps and contains these vacant slots. A notice board is pinned with evidence of a dealing we are not privy to, as a figurative presence lies cowering in the corner.
